CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established importer and distributor of pharmaceutical-related products, as well as the manufacture and marketing of household cleaning products, we are seeking to recruit a Laboratory Quality Control Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As part of your role, you will be responsible for the implementation of laboratory methods and quantitative analyses throughout the production process of all products managed by the company, ensuring quality standards and excellence. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, you ideally possess proven experience in a relevant role. You will need to have knowledge of quality assurance systems, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive salary is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 07:00 - 16:00 from Monday to Thursday and from and 07:00 - 15:00 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Implementation of laboratory methods and quantitative analyses throughout the production process of all products managed by the company, ensuring their excellent quality.
  • Supervision and continuous monitoring of production.
  • Recommendations for improving the production process.
  • Identification and implementation of best practices.
  • Guidance to ensure the company’s compliance with necessary quality standards.
  • Recommendations for compliance with European legislation and directives, such as REACH, CLP, BPR, the European Poison Centres, and any future directive.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar position is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems (ISO).
  • Knowledge and application of quality standard EN 901/2013.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English languages.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
