CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group operating in the Fintech sector, and with regional offices here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Transaction Monitoring Officer (Shift-Patterns) to join their growing team based in Paphos. As a Junior Transaction Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for a range of duties which support trading operations, including monitoring the flow of transactions and investigate any irregular or suspicious activity, and overseeing the functionality of trading platforms and instruments, to ensure smooth operations. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Business, or another relevant field, although full training will be provided, and Recent Graduates are therefore encouraged to apply. Rotational 24/5 Monday – Friday shift-patterns apply for this position (08:00 – 16:00, 16:00 – 0:00 & 0:00 – 08:00).

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the functionality of trading platforms and instruments, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist internally the clients with their inquiries about trading instruments and products offered by the company.
  • Monitor the flow of transactions and investigate any irregular or suspicious activity.
  • Report on potential risks in the company’s overall portfolio, contributing to risk management efforts.
  • Continuously keep an eye on financial markets across various asset classes to ensure awareness of market conditions.
  • Generate reports and analyses regarding clients’ trading activities.
  • Provide training for other dealers to ensure they can carry out their tasks effectively.
  • Participate in maintaining a positive and dynamic work environment.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • A degree in a relevant field, which may include Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a relevant role is desirable, although full training will be provided.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess trading activities and market conditions.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, likely due to the time-sensitive nature of financial transactions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with potential multitasking.
  • Knowledge of SQL is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on rotational shift-patterns to accommodate 24/5 operations.
