CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Tax Consultant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the successful applicant will handle a variety of tax related duties on behalf of clients, including preparing and submitting income tax returns, and assisting with personal income tax audits. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field who possess approximately 2 years of previous experience working in a tax focused role. Candidates working towards any professional accounting and/or tax certifications/qualifications are encouraged to apply. Fluency in verbal and written Greek & English is essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and submitting of income tax returns (forms IR1, IR4, IR7 etc.).
  • Assisting in the carrying out personal income tax audits and compilation of personal financial statements for tax purposes.
  • Work with other staff on specific assignments/projects.
  • Maintain good relations with other members of staff and with clients.
  • Be able to report Work in Progress at any time required by the Tax Manager.
  • Direct communication with the Audit Department and the Cyprus Tax Department.

 Key Skills/Experience:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Candidates working towards any professional accounting and/or tax certifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Approximately 2 years of previous experience in a tax related role is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages (written and spoken).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
