CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Accounting, Tax & Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Tax Compliance Officer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. A Graduate Level position, the successful applicant will assist in the preparation and submission of Cyprus income tax returns, temporary tax calculations and defence tax forms, as well as support in the preparation of Summary Information Tables (SIT) for transfer pricing compliance. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or another related field, who possess a strong academic record and desire to pursue a professional tax qualification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of Cyprus income tax returns, temporary tax calculations and defence tax forms.
  • Support in the preparation of Summary Information Tables (SIT) for transfer pricing compliance.
  • Support the payroll team and assisting in social insurance matters and PAYE matters.
  • Liaise with the Cyprus Tax Department and other authorities on client matters.
  • Assist in tax registrations, tax residency certificate applications, and due diligence procedures.
  • Maintain and update internal records, ensuring deadlines and obligations are met.
  • Participate in client meetings and team discussions.
  • Communicate with clients and the Cyprus Tax Department on routine tax matters.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic record and desire to pursue a professional tax qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
