CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Professional Services, including the provision of Tax and Accounting related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Tax Assistant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Junior Tax Assistant, you will assist with general tax compliance work for both companies and individuals. As part of your role, you will prepare temporary tax computations, tax returns, and tax payments on behalf of clients. An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable, with any prior experience in a relevant position considered a plus, although full training will be provided, and junior-level applicants are therefore encouraged to apply. Working hours are from 8:00 - 13:00 & 13:30 - 16:30 on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday and from 8:00 - 14:30 each Wednesday & Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with general tax compliance for companies and individuals (preparation of temporary tax computations, tax returns, tax payments etc.).
  • Assisting with provision of tax support and advice to clients.
  • Assisting with dealing with tax enquiries and investigations.
  • Liaison with audit and accounting departments within the firm.
  • Liaison with government authorities.
  • Communication with clients by phone/email/personal meetings/online meetings.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • University degree in a business-related field.
  • Part qualified/studying towards a professional qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • Prior professional experience in similar position will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Cyprus Tax Law.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written.
  • Computer literate.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to take initiatives and deliver results.
  • Organized and with ability to multitask and adapt to changes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgement.
