CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Online Payments Account Manager to join their growing team based in Paphos. As a Junior Online Payments Account Manager, you will play a key role supporting the operational and control functions of the Online Payments department, ensuring smooth day-to-day performance and continuous optimization of clients’ payment ecosystems. We are ideally seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or similar, who ideally possess 1+ year of experience in a relevant position, ideally gained working for a company operating online. You will need to have strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or Google Sheets, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new Payment methods and Payment Providers.
  • Assist in the onboarding processes and online integration of new Payment Providers.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with existing Payment Providers.
  • Collect and update due diligence (KYC/AML) documentation as required.
  • Stay up to date with the latest requirements of the major payment schemes, ensuring compliance.
  • Optimize payment flows on both the frontend and backend environments to enhance users’ experience and increase conversions.
  • Monitor and analyze daily transaction performance by country, issuing bank, card type, and other key payment metrics, and implement optimizations as needed.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to analyze data, identify issues, and propose improvements to optimize the performance and success rate of each Payment method.
  • Monitor and detect suspicious or potentially fraudulent transactions and proceed with relevant actions to mitigate risk.
  • Ongoing optimization of our clients’ online products from a payments perspective, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustained profitability.
  • Handle payment-related customers’ inquiries, providing timely feedback, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and insights to Senior Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • BSc/MSc in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or any other relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a company operating online, will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, well-organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (both verbal & in writing).
  • Highly motivated, able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A curious and innovative mindset, adaptable to change, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
