CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading transportation companies with operations across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will support the Company’s legal and compliance activities, including contract review, corporate filings, and day-to-day legal matters. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who possess 1+ year of experience in a relevant position, with proven experience handling filings at the Cyprus Registrar of Companies. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (e.g. supply agreements, lease agreements, MoUs).
  • Monitoring contract renewals and maintaining an up-to-date contracts register.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory filings through the Cyprus Registrar of Companies portal.
  • Handling corporate changes (directors, share capital, registered office, etc.).
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines and maintaining corporate records.
  • Managing documentation relating to vehicle transfers.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities (e.g. Department of Road Transport) and maintaining fleet-related records.
  • Supporting day-to-day legal matters and conducting legal research.
  • Preparing corporate documents and legal correspondence.
  • Maintaining legal filing systems and liaising with external parties.
  • Assisting the Complaints Department in assessing customer complaints, identifying legal/regulatory risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal procedures.
  • Handling GDPR-related matters, including reviewing and maintaining privacy policies and internal data protection documentation.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • LLB degree from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in a law firm.
  • Experience with filings at the Cyprus Registrar of Companies is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, contract, corporate, and data protection Law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a team-player attitude.
