CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax-related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Audit Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Audit Associate, you will be responsible for conducting audit procedures in accordance with professional standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 1+ year of previous experience in Audit. You will ideally be working towards a professional accounting qualification, and possess basic knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting audit procedures in accordance with professional standards. 
  • Reviewing financial information and audit documentation.
  • Implementing company best practices to prepare financial statements, client correspondence and other audit-related documentation.
  • Work closely with Senior Auditor/Manager to ensure clients receive the best possible service.
  • Report any issues to Senior Auditor/Manager.
  • Liaising with the Accounting department regarding the updating of client folders with relevant documentation.
  • Preparation and submission of tax returns on behalf of clients.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field.
  • Partly qualified or studying towards a Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA/ACA).
  • 1+ year of relevant auditing experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Greek.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Customer-orientation.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
