CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a specialized Alternative Investment Manager with significant experience and investments in the London real-estate market, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Assistant Loan Officer to join their growing Underwriting Department based in Nicosia. As a Junior Assistant Loan Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with loan processing, and supporting day-to-day underwriting activities. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, or any other related field, with any previous experience in Banking, Finance, or Customer Services considered an advantage, but not essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must, along with strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, including 13th salary and Provident Fund. Working hours are from 10:00 – 19:00 Monday to Friday, and from 10:00 – 15:30 each Friday to mirror UK working hours.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Support the underwriting team by collecting and checking information for loan applications.
  • Assist in entering and updating loan-related data accurately in internal systems.
  • Help ensure that loan documentation is complete and organized.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records of processes and updates.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners under guidance.
  • Assist in monitoring loan activities such as payments, redemptions, and extensions.
  • Support the team in day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics or any other related field.
  • Previous exposure to Banking, Finance, or Customer Service is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent command of Greek and fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn in a team environment.
