Junior Accountant (Finance Department)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing Finance Department based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, general ledger posting, bank reconciliations, the preparation of VAT & VIES returns, and more. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, and holders of any relevant accounting certifications such as the LCCI Higher are encouraged to apply. Experience of at least 1+ years in bookkeeping in a Finance Department is highly desirable, although full training will be provided, and therefore Recent Graduates with relevant academic backgrounds and strong knowledge of MS Excel are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
- General ledger posting.
- Bank, Debtor, Creditor reconciliations.
- Preparation of payment instructions.
- Preparations of VAT/VIES returns.
- Invoicing and Administration.
- Oversee correct allocation of expenses to
clients, primarily agents’ costs, couriers, and other 3rd party expenses.
- Any other ad hoc projects required by Management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- LCCI Higher.
- 1+ years bookkeeping experience in a Finance
Department is desirable.
- Ability to manage, plan and prioritize workload.
- Numerate, thorough, with attention to detail
- Good team player, able to work under pressure and
meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
(knowledge of Navision will be considered as an advantage).
- Excellent command of both Greek and English.
