CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of cutting-edge telecommunications solutions to a global client base, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for bookkeeping, recording expenses, issuing invoices, and other accounting-related tasks. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles is essential, and familiarity with accounting software (SAP, or any ERP system) will be considered as an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, with any other language skills considered a plus. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, performance-related bonus, medical insurance, and paid lunches daily in the office.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording and posting transactions in the accounting system.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Issue invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers regularly.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and monthly closing statements.
  • Monitor and record expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support the senior accountant in audits and financial analysis.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents, invoices, and receipts.
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial transactions.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook is a must).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (SAP, or any ERP system) will be considered as an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, any other languages are a plus.
