Junior Accountant
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a specialist Research & Development company with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist with a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including processing payments, handling invoices, conducting back reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of VAT. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, and holders of any relevant accounting certifications such as the LCCI or CAT are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess a minimum of 1+ year of experience in a relevant position, and any knowledge of SAP Business One will be considered a plus. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain
books/systems including any related data entry/filing.
- Handling
expense invoices.
- Processing
Petty Cash payments.
- Processing
Visa Payments.
- Bank
and Cash Reconciliations.
- Perform
Supplier and Creditor reconciliations.
- Support
the VAT preparation of companies registered under VAT authorities.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Holders
of any relevant accounting certification and/or academic background are
encouraged to apply.
- Must
have 1-2 years’ experience in a Financial Capacity as Junior Accountant or
Assistant Accountant.
- Solid
understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Knowledge
of SAP Business One is an advantage.
- Team
player, positive attitude and self-driven professional.
- Eager
to learn and continuously improve.
- Excellent
English.
- Good
communication skills.
- Ability
to work effectively as part of a team.
