CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests and investments, we are seeking to recruit an Investment Analyst to join their newly established team based in Larnaca. As an Investment Analyst, you will prepare and design reports and analysis of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions, including performing detailed company valuations, and reporting back to Senior Management. Holders of a relevant finance and/or accounting qualification are encouraged to apply, and you will need to posses approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role. Strong financial modelling skills including the ability to build valuation models are essential, along with a good understanding of the nuances of transaction procedures and key elements of deal negotiation. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

 

  • Prepare and design reports and analysis of potential investments, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct financial and business due diligence.
  • Perform company valuations.
  • Find new improvement opportunities as well as conduct research of new trends and markets.
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets, including the analysis of venture markets.
  • Develop financial models to analyse investment returns and perform valuation analysis.

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree in or related to finance or professional qualification title (CFA/ACA).
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance required.
  • Strong financial modelling skills including the ability to build valuation models (comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis), leveraged buyout models, and accretion/dilution merger models.
  • Good understanding of the nuances of transaction procedures and key elements of deal negotiation, including legal and other documentation.
  • Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson, Capital IQ or other similar data sources is desirable.
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments.
