CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of IT related services and solutions to a wide range of clients across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an IT Technician to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing clients with a range of IT software and hardware related support and services. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field, who possess some previous experience in a relevant role, with strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products, as well as fluency in both Greek and English. An attractive salary is on offer based on skills and experience, as well as excellent working hours from 07:30 to 15:30 Monday – Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Installation of computer networks and resolution of problems related to software and computer systems.
  • Configuration of peripherals and auxiliary machines (scanners, printers).
  • On-site repair of computer hardware and software.
  • Installation and configuration of equipment, local and wireless networks.
  • Windows installation & configuration.
  • Resolving problems with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
  • Resolving problems for Active Directory accounts.
  • Software installations (antivirus, drivers, Acrobat Reader, Internet browsers).
  • Management of central Datacentre equipment (servers, storage systems, security equipment, network equipment).

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another closely related field.
  • Prior experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with network administration (LAN/WAN) will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of configuring and managing Firewalls is highly desirable.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English.
  • A willingness and desire to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, without compromising quality.
