CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established and expanding Ship Management company with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team based in Limassol. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, who possess approximately 4+ years of experience in a relevant role. You will need to be familiar with tools and technologies including Windows 10, Active Directory, Antivirus systems, MS Office 365/Outlook, OneDrive and Teams, and be able and willing to work outside of standard working hours from time-to-time to meet the needs of clients. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to vessels, crew, clients and multisite offices.
  • Resolve tickets based on the defined priority level and within the specified timeframe.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.
  • Determine the best solutions based on the issue and details provided.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support.
  • Record events and works performed to resolve issues within the system.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the IT Asset Register with accurate inventory and record all hardware and software purchased and allocated.
  • Ensure IT familiarisation is conducted with new employees.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot new and existing hardware, operating systems and software applications on laptops, printers, mobiles, tablets, NAS and CCTV.
  • Perform user account setup on workstations and mobile devices.
  • Sustain network integrity, server deployment, and security.
  • Evaluate risk and develop network recovery and backup processes.
  • Educate colleagues about security software and best practices for information security.
  • Ensure activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
  • Maximise performance by troubleshooting problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.

Key Skills/Experience:  

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • Approximately 4+ years of experience in a relevant position is a must.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Active Directory (DHCP, DNS, user accounts), Antivirus systems, MS Office 365/Outlook, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Ability to repair computers/laptops, replacing or cloning disks would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration and installation.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Good English – Spoken & written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and tactfully.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexible in work times - will be required to work and possibly travel outside of normal office hours and overseas as operational requirements demand.
