CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end users, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the ICT infrastructure. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant field, who posses sound knowledge of Windows OS and the MS Office Suite, as well as a basic understanding of Active Directory, LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies. Previous experience in a similar position is desirable, although Recent Graduates are also encouraged to apply. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email and in-person for hardware issues, OS and software troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure and support Microsoft based IT infrastructure throughout the company.
  • Troubleshooting simple server-related issues.
  • Perform local and remote testing on equipment, including running computer programs to diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications and migration to new technologies.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Conduct routine system audits and maintain server system inventory and documentation.
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
  • Design and develop in-house .NET and SQL Server based applications and reports.
  • Install in-house software and reports and train the users.
  • Test modified programs to ensure user data accuracy and modifications have no adverse impact on systems operation.
  • Assist with the administration of user accounts and access control systems.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including network connectivity and performance problems.
  • Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, and network expansions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  • Stay up to date on the latest IT trends and technologies.
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Outstanding Computer literacy.
  • Very good knowledge and experience in Windows OS and MS Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), Group Policy, Terminal servers.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Proactive problem-solver taking initiative and always eager to learn new skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong work ethic and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages.
