IT Specialist
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most well-established and respected providers of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit an IT Specialist to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an IT Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for managing and supporting both internal and client-side infrastructures, ensuring availability, performance, and security across a variety of environments. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, who possess 1 – 3 years of experience in a technical support, system administration, or IT operations role. You will need to have experience with Active Directory/Azure AD, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and basic routing/switching, virtualization and cloud platforms, along with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash, and a strong understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and support internal IT
systems, networks, servers, and virtualized environments.
- Deliver proactive monitoring,
system maintenance, and patching across environments.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware,
software, and networking issues.
- Administer virtualization
platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., Azure,
AWS).
- Handle client onboarding,
configuration, and ongoing technical support using our RMM Solution.
- Monitor and maintain clients'
IT systems, resolving support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage user accounts,
permissions, backups, and network security configurations.
- Collaborate with clients to
assess needs and implement tailored IT solutions.
- Leverage scripting (e.g.,
PowerShell, Bash) to automate operational tasks.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a
technical support, system administration, or IT operations role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and
Linux operating systems.
- Experience with:
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls,
and basic routing/switching
- Virtualization and cloud
platforms
- Scripting languages
(PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
- Familiarity with Managed
Service Provider (MSP) tools and workflows is a plus.
- Industry certifications (e.g.,
Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and
troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication skills in
both Greek and English.
- Ability to work independently,
manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and pursue continuous professional development.
