CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established independent International Classification Society for sea going vessels and other marine structures, we are seeking to recruit an IT Operations Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an IT Operations Officer, you will manage and administer company IT infrastructure including hardware and software to ensure smooth daily operations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field, who possess approximately 3+ years of proven experience in IT administration. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 tenant administration including, SharePoint and Azure is essential and fluency in English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and administer company IT infrastructure including hardware (laptops, printers, scanners) and software to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory and Microsoft Tenants.
  • Provide 1st level IT support for network issues, VPNs, phones, emails, and remote users.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Fortinet firewall, time attendance and 3CX phone systems.
  • Oversee server management, asset tracking, and procurement of IT equipment.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure service continuity.
  • Support and participate in ongoing projects (software development) and participate in bug identification and resolution.
  • Manage company's website, social media accounts and email communication channels via Mailchimp.
  • Maintain IT quality documentation including checklists, certificates, and procedures.


Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in IT administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 tenant administration (including SharePoint and Azure).
  • Experience with network administration and security, including VPNs, firewalls (Fortinet preferred), and remote access solutions.
  • Familiar with VoIP systems administration (3CX or similar).
  • Solid troubleshooting skills at 1st level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience managing IT vendors and coordinating external service providers.
  • Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Basic software development and scripting skills, preferably in Python, for automation, data processing, and system support.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jira, Slack) and user/role management in software platforms.
  • Understanding of IT compliance and audit processes.
  • Strong communication skills for daily coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and developers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks independently with a proactive approach.
  • Good organizational skills and documentation maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the maritime, shipping industry is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
