CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established producer of Dairy Products, with expanding operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Human Resources Officer to join their growing team. As a Human Resources Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all human resources functions for our client, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, payroll coordination, and in particular handling matters related to international employees including work permits, licenses, and accommodation. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that the workforce operates efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with Cypriot labour laws and food industry standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar, who possess approximately 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources, with fluency in verbal and written Greek & English considered essential. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary and Provident Fund. Working hours are from 08.00 - 17.00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process (job postings, interviews, hiring).
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess manpower needs.
  • Handle recruitment and onboarding of international employees (work permits, visas, licenses).
  • Coordinate with immigration and labor authorities.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all international workers.
  • Liaise with relevant government departments (e.g., Department of Labour, Civil Registry & Migration).
  • Arrange and manage accommodation and transportation if provided by the company.
  • Support the integration of international staff into the workforce and local culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Cyprus labour laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, time sheets, and leave balances.
  • Oversee health and safety policies in coordination with the H&S Officer.
  • Ensure alignment with BRCGS and food industry standards from an HR perspective.
  • Collaborate with finance/accounting on accurate and timely payroll.
  • Handle overtime, shift schedules, sick leaves, and holiday tracking.
  • Manage social insurance and GESY registrations and contributions.
  • Organize employee induction and training programs.
  • Promote employee upskilling for production efficiency, hygiene, and safety.
  • Support performance reviews and continuous development.
  • Act as the point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, or grievances.
  • Maintain strong communication between staff and management.
  • Promote employee morale, engagement, and retention.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management or any other relevant degree.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience working in Human Resources is essential.
  • Knowledge of Cyprus Employment Law.
  • Fluency in both English and Greek language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
