CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Hospitality Group which owns and operates a number of luxury resorts in both Cyprus and Greece, we are seeking to recruit a Hotel General Manager to join their growing team based in Paphos. The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the hotel. This leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of the property’s day-to-day operations, including guest satisfaction, employee management, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Hotel Management, or another related field, who possess in excess of 10+ years of proven experience in hotel management. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring exceptional guest service and satisfaction.
  • Analysing P&L statements and implementing effective strategies to drive results.
  • Achieving hotel budget targets and setting both short and long-term goals for the property.
  • Developing and executing cost-saving initiatives and performance improvements.
  • Monitoring daily business reports and making informed decisions.
  • Enforcing strict compliance with operational controls, SOPs, policies, and service standards.
  • Overseeing budget planning, sales target setting, and account management.
  • Generating and reviewing guest satisfaction reports.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing hotel staff.
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Managing all hotel departments, including maintenance, front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and event management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • A University Degree in Hotel Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of hotel management experience, including roles such as Hotel Manager, Assistant Manager, or Operations Manager.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing top-notch customer service.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, property management systems, and other relevant software.
