CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly respected company operating within the FMCG sector, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Sales to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for driving sales performance and commercial growth across the Nicosia district, including leading, and developing the Sales team, strengthening relationships with key customers, and ensuring excellent execution across the market. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior sales management role within the FMCG, Food & Beverage, or HORECA sectors, with a strong understanding of the Nicosia market. Main Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Take
overall responsibility for sales performance and commercial results across
the Nicosia district.
- Develop
and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve and
exceed agreed revenue, volume, distribution, and profitability targets.
- Lead,
manage, motivate, and develop the Sales team, establishing clear
objectives and performance standards.
- Monitor
individual and team performance against KPIs, providing regular coaching,
guidance, and support.
- Build
and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers,
distributors, retail partners, and HORECA clients.
- Identify
and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company's customer
base and market presence.
- Develop
and maintain strong knowledge of the local market, including customer
needs, competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Ensure
excellent execution of commercial, promotional, merchandising, and
brand-building activities across points of sale.
- Monitor
product availability, distribution, visibility, stock levels, and overall
execution within the territory.
- Lead
negotiations with key customers and support the development of commercial
agreements that maximise sales and profitability.
- Work
closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other
internal departments to ensure effective execution of commercial plans.
- Prepare
and present regular sales reports, forecasts, market analysis, and
performance updates to senior management.
- Monitor
sales budgets, commercial expenditure, and promotional investment,
ensuring effective utilisation of resources.
- Ensure
adherence to company policies, procedures, pricing guidelines, credit
policies, and commercial standards.
- Continuously
identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer service,
market coverage, and overall commercial performance.
- Represent
the company professionally in the market and act as a senior ambassador
for its brands and products.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University
degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or another
relevant field.
- At
least 4+ years of relevant sales experience, with a proven track record in
a senior sales or commercial management position.
- Previous
experience within the FMCG, Food & Beverage, HORECA, or a closely
related industry will be highly advantageous.
- Strong
knowledge of the Cyprus market, particularly the Nicosia district.
- Proven
experience managing, motivating, and developing sales teams.
- Strong
commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of sales targets, KPIs,
profitability, pricing, and promotional activity.
- Excellent
negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and presentation
skills.
- A
results-driven and commercially minded approach, with the ability to
identify opportunities and convert them into measurable business growth.
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use sales data
to drive decision-making.
- Excellent
organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage
multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency
in Greek and English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent
knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
