CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established Incoming Agent for European Tour Operators and MICE agencies (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), we are seeking to recruit a Head of DMC Department (French-Speaking) to oversee and manage their DMC department (Destination Management Company). The role involves overseeing and managing the DMC department, leading a professional team to provide personalized services for Conference, Seminars, and Incentive projects. The Head of DMC Department will be responsible for ensuring the department's flexibility, reliability, and creativity in delivering exceptional services. Our client is seeking applicants who are fluent in both verbal and written French and English, who possess knowledge of the MICE industry, with excellent client service and project management skills. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage existing and new client relationships, particularly within the French-speaking market, including preparing, sending and approving project leader quotations.
  • Maintain and update client databases, incentive houses, and website branding.
  • Develop incentive programs and suggest innovative ideas.
  • Represent the department at international exhibitions to promote services.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and hotels to secure optimal deals while ensuring quality.
  • Coordinate confirmed operations with clients and suppliers.
  • Handle invoices.
  • Manage the date-to-date tasks of the project leader and the whole department.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Previous experience in tourist industry and managerial positions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the MICE industry.
  • Fluency in French and English, both verbal and written is a must.
  • Able to work freely in Cyprus (No Work Permits Provided).
  • Experience in serving international clients.
  • Strong project management and managerial skills
  • Computer literacy, with a minimum ECDL certification.
  • Pleasant personality, team player and organized.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexible, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieving goals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and managerial skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
