CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Compliance to join their growing team based in Limassol. As Head of Compliance, you will oversee the entire Compliance function for the Group, including designing, implementing, and overseeing the compliance framework across all operations. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who hold at least 5+ years of experience in a compliance focused position. You will need to possess a strategic mindset, with strong risk assessment and problem-solving capabilities, along with excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee all general compliance duties, including KYC, ODD, UBO, ABC’s & Whistleblowing.
  • Ensure Personal Data compliance (i.e. GDPR) including supporting stakeholders in DPIA.
  • Maintain NDA undertakings and set effective controls in document/information flow.
  • Participate in relevant forums and initiatives of which the Group are members.
  • Create and maintain the Compliance Road Map with regular updates on outlook, milestones, and timelines.
  • Maintain, update, and enforce Organization Compliance and related policies.
  • Coordinate with Treasury on credit risk, forming part of general KYC/ODD.
  • Oversee the gift register and coordinate with external providers on Whistleblowing channel.
  • Handle initiatives for corporate governance and risk transfer solutions (i.e.. insurance).
  • Support other departments in interpreting and enforcement of applicable standards and regulations.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Degree in Law or another relevant field of study.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of work experience in a compliance position.
  • Proficiency in legal research and contract management.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • A clear understanding how compliance supports business objectives.
