CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM), authorised and supervised by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), we are seeking to recruit a Fund Administrator to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Fund Administrator, you will will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting administration and operational oversight of Collective Investment Funds (AIFs and UCITS), ensuring accurate valuations, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting to management, investors, and regulators. The role requires close cooperation with the Management, the Depositary, and internal compliance and risk functions, as well as oversight of external professionals (auditors etc.). Our client is seeking candidates who ideally hold an academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, who possess approximately 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferably with the Audit of investment funds, AIFs, or financial institutions. Holders of, or those working towards the ACCA, ACA or AICPA qualifications are encouraged to apply, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Calculate the Net Asset Value (NAV) of each fund/share class (in cooperation with external expert advisers).
  • Ensure correct valuation of assets in accordance with AIFM Law, fund rules, and the valuation policy approved by the AIFM/Depositary (in cooperation with external expert advisers).
  • Prepare and distribute NAV notices and investor reports (in cooperation with external expert advisers).
  • Maintain accurate and up to date fund records, register of unitholders/shareholders and records required for CySEC inspections and audits.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of AIFs.
  • Oversee and process AIFs trade processing, cash movements, and investor transactions (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers).
  • Ensure fund administration processes comply with AIFM Law, CySEC directives, and fund constitutional documents.
  • Support the AIFM’s compliance and risk management functions with accurate data.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and banking of the Fund Manager.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/AICPA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum 3+ years of audit experience, preferably in Audit of investment funds, AIFs, or financial institutions.
  • Candidates with a CySEC certificate will be preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IFRS in regulated fund environments.
  • Ability to work under audit-quality documentation and controls.
  • Hands-on experience with NAV calculation and reporting.
  • Experience with multi-share class structures.
  • Experience with Capital account reconciliations.
  • Hands-on Depositary oversight and audit interaction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Fair value measurement.
  • Working knowledge of AIFM Law and CySEC directives.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain Audit-ready fund records.
  • Experience with Fund Administration Systems.
  • Regulatory documentation and evidence trails.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages is essential.
