CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Reporting Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to the Senior Accountant and/or Senior Finance Manager, the successful applicant will primarily be responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements for companies operating in the Group, including the consolidated financial statements for the entire Group. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field, who possess approximately 3+ years of relevant experience within the profession or in a similar position. Membership of a professional accounting body, such as the ACA or ACCA is required. Experience with the preparation of IFRS financial statements is a must, and any experience of reviewing IFRS financial statements will be considered an advantage, and excellent communication skills in English are essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing annual financial statements of Group companies.
  • Preparing annual consolidated financial statements of Group (30+ companies in the group in 10+ different jurisdictions).
  • Preparing adhoc management accounts of Group companies.
  • Participating in the audit process of the Group companies and assisting other team members with audit requests.
  • Assisting with KYC reviews from the banks and other counterparties.
  • Preparation of various ad-hoc bank forms and documents, such as changes to authorized signatories, FATCA, and CRS forms, etc…
  • Other ad-hoc tasks/duties.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is desirable.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience within the profession or in a similar position.
  • Membership of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA) is essential.
  • Experience working for a Top 4 Firm will be considered a plus.
  • Experience in preparing IFRS financial statements is mandatory; experience in reviewing IFRS financial statements is a plus.
  • Experience in preparation of consolidation file and consolidated financial statements is a must.
  • Ability to use MS Excel to a high standard is must.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Caseware software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Being able to work independently, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • High levels of commitment with a drive to deliver results.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
