CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Support & Onboarding services on behalf of a Regulated Investment Firm, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of group companies globally, and will be responsible for consolidated financial reporting and analysis. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, and full members of a recognised accounting body are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold approximately 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior financial management role, with specific experience of working in either the FX or Crypto industries considered essential. Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system, including financial module configuration, reporting, and administration will be considered an advantage, and familiarity with financial regulations in the digital assets/cryptocurrency space is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English are a must, with any knowledge of Greek and/or Hebrew considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes 13th salary and Medical Insurance.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage accounting operations for all Group companies globally, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for the company as a whole.
  • Review individual (solo) financial statements from all company entities.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the regulated digital asset trading business.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and provide variance analyses.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls appropriate for a publicly traded company.
  • Coordinate financial practices and reporting standards across all company entities.
  • Manage cash flow and treasury operations.
  • Support tax planning and compliance, working with external advisors on complex regulatory matters related to digital assets.
  • Manage and optimize the NetSuite ERP system for all operations, ensuring proper configuration and integration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Assist with investor relations as needed, including preparation of materials for public reporting.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, professional certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) preferred.
  • Approximately 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior financial management role.
  • Prior experience working in the FX and/or Crypto industries is considered mandatory.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system, including financial module configuration, reporting, and administration is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations in the digital assets/cryptocurrency space is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an international business environment, preferably with knowledge of both Cypriot and Israeli financial regulations.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and local Cypriot accounting standards.
  • Experience with financial controls and reporting requirements for regulated financial services.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek and/or Hebrew is an advantage.
