CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Private Equity Fund, licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission (CySEC), we are seeking to recruit a Finance Supervisor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Finance Supervisor, you will monitor the daily operational activity of a regulated Alternative Investment Fund, including onboarding, subscriptions, and redemptions. As part of your role, you will also oversee accounting, review monthly NAV calculations, and ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting of CY & UK legal entities. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who are ideally full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA). You will need to hold prior experience in a Finance or Accounting environment, gained working in either the profession or industry, with prior team leadership experience considered highly desirable. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, Provident Fund, and Friday afternoon’s off.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitoring the daily operational activity of a regulated Alternative Investment Fund, including onboarding, subscriptions, and redemptions.
  • Monitoring the daily operational activity of the Bridging Finance Business.
  • Accounting (including Bookkeeping, Bank/Debtor/Creditor reconciliations).
  • Reviewing of monthly NAV calculations prepared by fund administrators and overseeing quarterly investor reporting.
  • Statutory reporting of CY & UK legal entities.
  • Tax reporting of CY & UK legal entities.
  • Liaising with external advisors/stakeholders i.e. auditors, banks, tax specialists etc...
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and monthly P&L forecasts.
  • Treasury activity i.e. liquidity monitoring, cash flow management, and payment execution.
  • Compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ad-hoc finance projects.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • ACCA/ACA newly Qualified is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a Finance or Accounting environment (Profession or Industry).
  • Experience in the Cyprus alternative investment fund sector is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous team supervision experience is desirable.
  • Professional working approach and good communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
