CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a CySEC regulated Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Associate to join their growing finance team based in Nicosia. Working as part of an established finance department, the successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting duties including updating and maintaining accounting books and general ledgers, performing regular bank and vendor reconciliations, and preparing regular financial reports for Management. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field, who are ideally full members of a recognised accounting body. You should possess approximately 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant accounting role, and be fluent in written and spoken English, and possess strong skills in MS Office, including Excel. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform general ledger bookings for group entities.
  • Perform banks and vendors reconciliations.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of client funds including banks accounts, ledgers and platform balances.
  • Validating bi-monthly payment run for vendor invoices and booking bank transactions to general ledger.
  • Daily reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts for group entities.
  • Maintaining schedules including accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations and Fixed Assets register.
  • Assisting in year-end external and internal audits.
  • Undertaking any other related tasks assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accountant role is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, with Proficiency in Excel.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • SAP accounting system experience will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous working experience in the CFD industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Very good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Hard working with good interpersonal skills.
  • Work ethic and punctuality.
