image
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a market-leading state-of-the-art engineering Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an FP Pro Operator to join their growing team based in Limassol. Using FP PRO software, the ideal candidate will convert architectural drawings into accurate material take offs, quotations, and fabrication documentation, ensuring consistency between pricing and production for aluminum windows, doors, and curtain wall systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Engineering, or other closely related fields, who possess hands on experience using FP PRO or another equivalent aluminium fabrication/estimation software. Solid knowledge of aluminium systems (profiles, hardware, glazing), shop processes, and assembly methods is required, and experience with curtain wall systems and the FP FACADE module will be considered an advantage. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Estimation Support:

  • Interpret architectural and shop drawings (windows, doors, curtain walls) and model project elements in FP PRO.
  • Generate precise material take‑offs (profiles, fittings, glazing, panels) and quantify waste/optimization factors.
  • Prepare itemized and analytical estimates, including materials, processing, labour, overheads, and mark‑ups.
  • Produce quotation packs and coordinate revisions with the Estimation team and sales as needed.

Operations & Fabrication Input:

  • Issue fabrication/workshop documentation from FP PRO (cutting lists, work lists, assemblies) and export DXF where required.
  • Optimise bars/panels and nesting to reduce waste; coordinate with machine programs and cutting‑off centres.
  • Validate manufacturability (tolerances, joints, accessories) and align with shop capabilities prior to release.
  • Coordinate with Operations on sequencing, batches, and release of production orders.

Curtain Wall / Façade Coordination:

  • Work with façade engineers to align system set‑ups (mullions, transoms, brackets, infills) and grid definitions.
  • Where configured, support thermal transmittance (U‑value / heat transmission) outputs and documentation.
  • Ensure bills of materials and costs for façade scopes are complete and consistent with drawings/specifications.

Data, Libraries & Software Administration:

  • Maintain FP PRO databases (profile and hardware libraries, price lists, glazing/panel items).
  • Manage version control and project archives; ensure correct modules are used (e.g., FP FACADE, FP WORKSHOP, FP OPTI2D).
  • Support integration to Word/Excel/CAD outputs and networked environments as required.

Quality, Coordination & Communication:

  • Check accuracy of quantities, dimensions, and costs; resolve discrepancies with Design/Engineering.
  • Act as the liaison between Estimation, Operations, Purchasing and, when necessary, Site/Project teams.
  • Provide feedback from production to improve future estimates and reduce waste/rework.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience using FP PRO (or equivalent aluminium fabrication/estimation software).
  • Solid knowledge of aluminium systems (profiles, hardware, glazing), shop processes, and assembly methods.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings; familiarity with DXF outputs and section/multi‑joint details.
  • Numeracy and cost‑build skills (material, processing, labour); strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate across Estimation and Operations; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Time management: ability to handle multiple projects, versions, and deadlines.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with curtain wall systems and the FP FACADE module.
  • Understanding of thermal performance documentation (U‑values / heat transmission) and CE‑marking workflows.
  • Familiarity with FP SUITE modules such as FP GEST (purchasing/administration) and FP OPTI2D (optimisation).
  • Exposure to CNC/Workshop integrations (e.g., cutting‑off machines) and production sequencing.
