CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading Hospitality Group with operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Events Manager to join their growing team based in Ayia Napa. As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, meetings, and group bookings across the Group Hotels and Resorts. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring smooth event operations, and supporting revenue growth through effective planning and client relationship management. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Hospitality Management, Business, Event Management, or a related field, who possess a minimum 4+ years of progressive experience in events within luxury hotels or resorts. You will have proven ability to manage large-scale events and complex operations including social and music events, weddings, and be fluent in both verbal and written English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for groups, conferences, weddings, and events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and DMCs (Destination Management Company).
  • Identify new business opportunities and secure long-term partnerships for recurring group and event bookings.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Reservations Department to optimize pricing, packages, and inventory allocation for groups and events.
  • Oversee events related promotional activities and material, social media content
  • Monitor sales targets and KPIs, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
  • Participate in site inspections and client meetings, showcasing Group of Hotels and Resorts facilities and services.
  • Draft and review contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with operations teams (banqueting, F&B, rooms division, technical services) and any third-party suppliers involved to deliver high-quality events.
  • Ensure all events meet brand standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Anticipate guest needs, provide creative event solutions, and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Events team, ensuring a culture of excellence, accountability, and guest focus.
  • Manage the Events budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Provide regular performance reports, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership.
  • Track and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to refine strategies.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across rooms, F&B, and leisure facilities.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Event Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in events within luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Strong track record in group sales, conference & banqueting, and event execution.
  • Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the luxury hospitality segment, as well as leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) market is desired.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale events and complex operations including social and music events, weddings.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal in English. Greek and any other languages will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team across the organisation.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and ROI.
  • Proficiency in event management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to travel internationally when required.
