Environmental Verifier
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established independent International Classification Society for sea going vessels and other marine structures, we are seeking to recruit an Environmental Verifier to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Environmental Verifier, you will carry out verification of greenhouse gas emissions against EU-MRV, UK-MRV, IMO DCS & CII and CSI schemes. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, who have been trained as external emissions verifiers. You will need to hold at least 1+ year of relevant professional experience in the maritime sector, with sound knowledge of and experience in sector specific technical monitoring and reporting aspects. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carry out verification of
greenhouse gas emissions against EU-MRV, UK-MRV, IMO DCS & CII and CSI
schemes.
- Environmental Platform user
support.
- Supervising
verification/validation activities.
- Supervising the implementation
of the Organization’s QMS procedures in line with ISO 14065 standard.
- Carrying out Request/Contract
review as per QMS procedures.
- Providing and ensuring success
in various relevant quotations.
- Prompt and accurate reporting.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University Degree in
Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Trained as an external
emissions verifier (EU-MRV and/or EU-ETS and/or IMO DCS).
- At least one (1) year
experience working in the maritime industry involved in technical and/or
quality related matters.
- Knowledge of and experience in
sector specific technical monitoring and reporting aspects.
- Fluency in English.
- Decision making, pragmatic
approach.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Computer literate.
