CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an independent wealth management company providing tailored investment advisory services to both individual and corporate clients, we are seeking to recruit an EU Compliance & AML Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will lead our clients compliance efforts in Cyprus, and will have a strong grasp of CySEC regulations, MiFID, and a broad understanding of European financial regulatory frameworks. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of relevant experience gained working in Compliance ideally within the financial services sector, and hold both the CySEC AML and Advanced Certifications. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the company complies with all applicable CySEC regulations, MiFID II directives and EU frameworks as applicable.
  • Maintain and implement effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Oversee internal audits and coordinate with external auditors when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance and AML-related matters.
  • Investigate and report on any compliance breaches or concerns.
  • Dealing with client complaints.
  • Regulatory and Board reporting.
  • Lead and manage the compliance team, setting priorities and objectives.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Preferably 3+ years of experience in a Compliance Officer or similar role, ideally within financial services.
  • Holder of CySEC AML and Advanced Certifications (mandatory).
  • Other professional compliance qualifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of CySEC regulations and MiFID II; familiarity with IDD is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of compliance monitoring frameworks and best practices.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on approach and readiness to lead a compliance team.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory language and translate into actionable steps.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory language and implement practical controls.
