Design Engineer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international manufacturer of machinery for the production of plastic bottles, we are seeking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Design Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the design of machine components and assemblies using CAD software. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another closely related field, who ideally possess previous experience in a similar role. You will need to be a proficient user of SolidWorks computer-aided design software, and hold sound knowledge of mechanical components and systems. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, based on skills experience, which includes a generous bonus scheme, and hybrid working options. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conceptual
and detail design of components and assemblies using CAD software
- Liaison
with Manufacturing and Testing teams to understand and solve problems.
- Conceptual
work on R&D projects.
- Other
tasks in relation to design and engineering as considered necessary by
Management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree
in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Postgraduate
degree in a similar field will be considered an advantage.
- Previous
experience in a similar position is highly desirable.
- High
level of proficiency with SolidWorks.
- Good
knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
- Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques.
