The successful candidate will monitor trading operations, stay updated on market developments, manage risk and compliance, review client accounts, identify abusive trading behavior, contribute to projects, and prepare reports to support decision-making. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level from a reputable University in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field, who possess at least 2+ years working within a similar position.  Holders of the CySEC Advanced are encouraged to apply and be fluent in both verbal and written English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor trading platform operations to ensure smooth functioning and promptly resolve any system issues while coordinating with IT and support teams.
  • Stay updated with global and local market news, economic indicators, and relevant financial developments to inform trading strategies and risk assessment.
  • Monitor company exposure and assess risk by tracking financial positions, identifying potential risks, and providing timely insights to minimize losses while ensuring compliance with internal risk limits.
  • Follow company dealing procedures, adhering strictly to internal trading protocols, compliance policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity.
  • Review client accounts and analyse trading activity by conducting regular assessments, identifying irregularities, and providing recommendations for account management.
  • Identify and report abusive trading behaviour, including potential market abuse, suspicious activity, or violations of trading policies, to the compliance or risk management team.
  • Participate in department projects, contributing to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, developing new trading tools, or enhancing risk management frameworks.
  • Prepare and analyse reports by generating daily, weekly, and monthly summaries of trading activity, risk exposure, and performance metrics, analysing trends, and providing actionable insights to management.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment, and communicate clearly within the team and across departments.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2+ years of working experience in a similar position.
  • CySEC Advanced Certification is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
  • Ability to work on a shift schedule, including night shift. (8:00 – 16:00), (16:00 – 24:00), (00:00 – 08:00) and Public Holidays.
