As a Data Analytics Team Leader, you will oversee the analytics function, ensuring high-quality delivery of analytical projects, guiding the team in leveraging data to achieve measurable business outcomes. The role includes planning, assigning, and supervising the work of the analytics team. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field, who possess 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles. You will need to hold strong knowledge of analytics tools and technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and R, and be fluent in both Greek and English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and monitor analytics project plans, scope, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of analytical outputs, dashboards, and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to internal analytics methodologies, governance, and data privacy standards.
  • Conduct weekly monitoring and reporting of project progress and risks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through structured and clear communication.
  • Understand client analytical needs, manage expectations, and translate requirements into data solutions.
  • Address concerns by providing timely, data-driven alternatives and recommendations.
  • Collect feedback to assess satisfaction and continuously improve service quality.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Data Analytics team to ensure high performance and continuous growth.
  • Conduct regular daily/weekly team meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and define next steps.
  • Identify opportunities for analytical enhancement and additional data-driven services within existing accounts.
  • Support the sales team by recommending relevant analytics solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data analytics trends, tools, and best practices (e.g., data visualization, AI/ML, predictive analytics).

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles.
  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, data warehouses, cloud ecosystems).
  • 5+ years of experience delivering analytical projects at a senior level.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and delivering analytics initiatives within time and budget.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and present insights.
  • Fluency in Greek and English is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven stakeholder and account management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT practices, and data governance principles.
  • Project management and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
