CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique Reg-Tech firm offering cloud-based technology solutions, we are seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Data Analyst, you will solve complex problems by using industry-standard and proprietary tools, exploring datasets, and consolidating views from regulators, market experts, sales, and top-tier financial institutions. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics, or any other related field, who possess proven experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or Business Intelligence. You will need to have sound knowledge of SQL, with any programming experience considered an advantage. Any prior experience in the Financial Services industry, or knowledge of Financial Instruments and Markets will be considered an advantage, but not essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Analyse clients' data and collaborate with developers to build custom solutions for clients ranging from top-tier banks to investment firms in various locations.
  • Investigate various data sets using a range of tools to make data-driven decisions.
  • Offer product demonstrations, lead client onboardings, and manage errors to ensure a seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure the usability, quality and delivery of features and the product as a whole.
  • Analyse and understand the needs and priorities of clients to build a better product.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Finance, Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics, or any other related field.
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or Business Intelligence.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of a programming language will be considered an advantage (Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry or knowledge of Financial Instruments and Markets will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of trade and transaction reporting (EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR etc.) will be considered a bonus.
