CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading Global Shipping Agency, we are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing freight bookings, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of shipments, and acting as the primary point of contact for customers. You will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating the end-to-end shipping process, liaising with multiple stakeholders to guarantee operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess at least 2+ years of experience in a customer service position. Understanding of freight forwarding and/or shipping operations is essential and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Handle freight bookings and proactively track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor and update the status of shipments, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales department and effectively manage assigned customer accounts.
  • Oversee and coordinate the supply chain process, liaising with shipping lines, airlines, transport companies, and warehouse operators.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries and providing professional support.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues as well as external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation and system records are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Shipping, or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer service position.
  • Understanding of freight forwarding/ shipping operations.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Greek, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Problem solving and active listening skills.
