CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established Corporate Services Provider with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to join their growing team. As a Corporate Lawyer, you will handle a range of corporate duties including preparing and drafting agendas, resolutions, and minutes, performing regular maintenance of corporate files and registers, and providing guidance on commercial, corporate law and regulatory matters. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who are full members of the Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess approximately 4+ years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer gained working for a Law Firm or Service Provider. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Preparing/drafting agendas, resolutions, minutes, and other documents for all meetings of the board of directors/shareholders of the Group companies.
  • Perform maintenance of corporate files and registers.
  • Providing guidance on commercial, corporate law and regulatory matters and performing legal research.
  • Managing relationships and coordinating advice from third party professionals, including administrators and legal counsel.
  • Liaising with the Registrar of Companies and other governmental bodies in Cyprus.
  • Drafting various types of agreements and contracts.
  • Compliance/ KYC procedures. This colleague will be responsible for the input of all information on our specialized software for AML/KYC.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Law.
  • Membership with the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer in a Law Firm or Service Provider.
  • Compliance Officer certification by The Law Society or CySEC will be an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Interested in working as part of a dedicated team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • High degree of self-confidence.
  • High professional standards and work ethics.
  • Self-motivated.
