Corporate Accountant
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services, and with regional operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Corporate Accountant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Corporate Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for the bookkeeping and financial reporting of local Cyprus companies with an international presence, in accordance with IFRS, as well as the preparation of bank reconciliations, debtors’ statements and creditors’ statements. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess at least 2+ years of experience of professional experience in a relevant accounting role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, with any knowledge of the German language considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and
financial reporting of local Cyprus companies with an international
presence, in accordance with IFRS.
- Preparation of bank
reconciliations, debtors’ statements, creditors’ statements.
- Preparation and
submission of VAT and VIES returns.
- Assistance in
preparation of accounting folders for audit and handling of audit
requests.
- Preparation of monthly
payroll for Cyprus employees, including processing of TD59, TD63, TD7 etc…
Key Skills/Experience:
- Educated to degree
level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another closely related field.
- Holders of, or those
working towards any professional accounting qualification are encouraged
to apply.
- Minimum 2+ years of
experience in a relevant position is essential.
- Knowledge of
accounting software, in particular
E-Soft is highly desirable.
- Openness to learn new
things and to multi-task with vary priorities.
- Excellent written and
oral communication skills in English are essential.
- Any knowledge of the
German language will be considered an advantage.
- Team player,
self-motivated and able to work independently for timely delivery of work
under strict deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
