CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services with expanding offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure the Company adheres to legal standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company's integrity, mitigating risk, and promoting a culture of compliance. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or another relevant field, who hold a relevant certification from Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). You will need to hold extensive experience in Compliance, Legal, or another closely related role, with specific experience working for a CySEC regulated entity. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and update the organization on relevant changes.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, including ethical behaviour and regulatory expectations.
  • Investigate compliance breaches or concerns, prepare reports, and implement remedial measures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of compliance activities, risk assessments, and audit results.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure integrated compliance practices across the organization.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification from Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
  • Extensive experience in compliance, legal, or another closely related role.
  • Proven experience working for a CySEC regulated entity.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.
  • Strong understanding of business and financial markets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information confidentially.
