CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer to join their expanding team of professionals. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for ensuring that regulatory policies and procedures are documented, implemented and monitored. An academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or another related field is desirable, and you will need to possess approximately 2+ years of relevant working experience in a similar role, experience within the Administrative Services industry will be considered a significant advantage. A relevant compliance-related qualification/certification is required, such as the CySec AML certificate. Fluency in both Greek & English languages are a must. A attractive remuneration and benefits package is available to the successful candidate, that includes a 13th salary and fully sponsored trainings and various seminars/webinars related to AML.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Ensuring that regulatory policies and procedures are documented, implemented and monitored.
  • Ensuring that the company always maintains full compliance with the legal framework.
  • Communicate with CySec, Clients and associates regarding AML matters.
  • Involvement in client acceptance and on boarding procedures.
  • Reviewing and ensuring client KYC documentation is up to date.
  • Ensuring that all CySec Reports are being carried out on the time frame required and as per the requirements of the Regulator.
  • Assistance in development and improvement of AML procedures and systems.
  • Identifying and carrying out risk assessments.
  • Performing on going monitoring.
  • Assisting with issues relevant to AML and Compliance arising during the process of the Company’s operations.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or another related field.
  • At least two years of relevant working experience in a similar role, experience within the Administrative Services industry will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Holder of CySec AML certificate, is a must.
  • Knowledge of current laws, regulations and common practices in compliance and AML.
  • Keeping up to date with Regulator’s updates, notifications and informing the Management accordingly.
  • Able to display a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience of using electronic AML systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek & English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
