CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and boutique provider of Professional Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Financial Controller to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Client Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing accounting services to a range of large and high value clients of the Firm. Your key duties will include the preparation of monthly management accounts, the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, as well as the preparation of payroll. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 2+ years of experience of Client Accounting experience. Excellent knowledge of Caseware software is essential, and fluency in both Greek and English is a must. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage an accounting portfolio and budget which includes large and sophisticated clients with international and FX transactions.
  • Liaise with banks and interact with auditors on the annual audit of the Companies.
  • Liaise with company administrators in Cyprus and/or abroad as required.
  • Prepare monthly payroll for clients which include individuals with more complicated sources of income.
  • Involved in financial control/accounting of larger Cyprus companies including the preparation of monthly management accounts and attending monthly management meetings online.
  • Create reports and identify/present results.
  • Support year-end closing processes including preparing full Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field is desirable.  
  • Excellent knowledge of Caseware Financial Statements template.
  • Knowledge of tax computations of Cyprus companies and individuals for advanced payroll calculations.
  • Proven experience with Cyprus’ online systems for VAT, TAX and Social Insurance.
  • Computer literate in one local Accounting Software to the level of an experienced user including multicurrency transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of the Greek and English languages.
  • Ability to organise time and priorities showing initiative particularly in contacting client and obtaining the relevant information.
