CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Corporate Services, with fully fledged offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. As a Client Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, reviewing accounting deliverables, and leading and mentoring team members to ensure high-quality service and compliance with applicable standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, who are full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA). You will need to possess approximately 5+ years of experience in a Client Accounting, or a professional services environment, including hands-on experience in reviewing work and/or supervising junior team members. Experience with Navision and/or CaseWare software will be considered an advantage, and fluency in both verbal and written English is a must. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience including performance-based bonus, 13th salary. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the maintenance of accounting records and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping transactions prepared for client companies.
  • Review financial statements and management accounts, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and internal policies.
  • Review VAT returns prior to submission, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and review the work of accounting staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely completion of tasks.
  • Allocate assignments effectively within the team, monitoring progress, and performance.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members to support their professional development.
  • Prepare and review clear, concise, and comprehensive reports for management and clients.
  • Identify issues, provide recommendations, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex accounting matters and support the team in resolving them.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc assignments as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field.
  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Client Accounting, or a professional services environment, including hands-on experience in reviewing work and/or supervising junior team members.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Literacy, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Navision accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with Caseware software will be considered an advantage.
