CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly regarded provider of Corporate Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for the provision of a range of accounting services to a portfolio of clients, as well as supporting less experienced members of the client accounting department as required. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field, and will need to be a full member of the ACA or ACCA. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 5+ years of relevant working experience in Client Accounting, and excellent knowledge of the English Language is essential. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package, which includes a 13th Salary, Provident Fund, Medical Insurance, and Friday afternoon’s off.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Recording of Book-keeping transactions and preparation of financial statements.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns.
  • Preparation of payroll reports for clients.
  • Assign work to accountants.
  • On-the-job training and supervision of junior accountants.
  • Review work done by junior accountants.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports.
  • Follow-up to determine adequacy of corrective actions.
  • Provide assistance to other team accountants as requested.
  • Special studies and projects as may be assigned.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Holder of ACA/ACCA.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a Client Accounting environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills including ability to keep track of and meet various deadlines and tasks.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written/ verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office/ Proficiency in MS excel (sort, pivot tables)/ Navision software is desirable.
