Client Accountant (Remote)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit, Accounting, Tax & Advisory related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team on a fully remote basis here in Cyprus. As a Client Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records on behalf of a portfolio of both local and international clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess approximately 3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained working for an Audit & Accounting Firm. You will need to be familiar with accounting software, and be a confident user of MS Office, in particular Excel. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must for this position. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate
accounting records for both local and international clients.
- Prepare financial statements in
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Manage accounts payable and
receivable processes.
- Prepare and submit VAT, VIES
and OSS reports.
- Submit VAT returns in TaxForAll
System.
- Handle Employer's Returns (TD7)
and Personal Income Tax Returns (TD1).
- Prepare, review and submit
clients Tax Return, VAT, and Social Insurance.
- Perform monthly reconciliations
for banks, creditors, and debtors.
- Process payroll for clients and
ensure timely payment of social insurance contributions and taxes.
- Communicate with clients to
collect necessary information and provide regular updates.
- Collaborate with auditors and
local authorities to ensure compliance and timely filing.
- Analyse revenue performance to
identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the fixed asset
register and calculate depreciation.
- Assist in preparing management
accounts and reports.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of
professional experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an
accounting/audit firm.
- Proficiency in accounting
software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Mantle is essential.
- Knowledge of CaseWare will be
considered an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of MS
Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in Greek and English,
both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and
excellent numerical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
and meet strict deadlines.
- Team player with a pleasant and
professional demeanour.
- Strong organizational and
multitasking abilities.
