CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of predominantly international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Client Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for the provision of accounting and bookkeeping services to various clients. As part of your role, you will prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns, prepare payroll, and support the Audit Team with audit engagements. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess 1+ year of proven experience in a similar position. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and ideally hold sound knowledge of Caseware International software, as well as MS Office applications, including Excel. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, including a 13th Salary. Working hours are from 09:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 09:00 – 14:00 each Friday, with some flexibility.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Bookkeeping for local and international clients.
  • Prepare Tax Returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit files.
  • Assisting the audit team in Audit Engagements as required.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Prepare and submit VIES and OSS reports.
  • Payroll preparation.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background related to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable.
  • Applicants working towards any professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Caseware International software is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
  • Knowledge of Russian language will be considered as an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of AML and Compliance regulations.
