CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting duties on behalf of clients, including daily reporting, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping and payment requests, as well as preparing accounting records based on IFRS. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained working within the Corporate and/or Professional Services sectors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of Management accounts.
  • Preparation of journals and post entries.
  • Process cash receipts, reconciliations, bookkeeping and payment requests.
  • Payroll preparation.
  • Preparation of accounting records based on international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • VAT prepartion; liaise with Cyprus Tax and VAT authorities.
  • Assist in the audit of the entities international financial reporting standards (IFRS) ensuring on-time tax and statutory filing.
  • Liaising with banks, auditors and clients ensuring smooth business operations.
  • Working in a team and supporting in servicing clients, assisting with day-to-day requests and responding to their needs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field is highly advantageous.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional accounting experience is essential.
  • Previous experience working in the Corporate Services sector or similar is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Proficient computer literacy.
  • Previous experience working with BTMS accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize own work to meet set deadlines.
