CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Corporate Services to a diverse portfolio of predominantly international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a portfolio of clients with a range of accounting and bookkeeping services. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other closely related field, who possess approximately 1+ year of previous experience in a relevant position. Applicants either working towards, or those who have recently obtained the ACA/ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply, and any previous experience working with E-Soft accounting software will be considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Accounting and bookkeeping for a portfolio of mainly international clients.
  • Respond to client requests timely and effectively.
  • Process accounting ledger transactions.
  • Perform reconciliations of control accounts, including all bank, debtor and creditor accounts.
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Prepare all necessary reports and analysis within agreed deadlines.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES forms.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or another closely related field is desirable.
  • Part or Recently ACA/ACCA qualified accountants are encouraged to apply. 
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a relevant accounting position is essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Good knowledge of E-Soft accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Good understanding of VAT and tax is essential.
  • Fluent in both oral and written English.
  • Excellent team player who will take ownership.
  • Professional and reliable.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
