CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-standing Engineering & Construction Firm with international operations, we are seeking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their growing Tendering & Estimation department based in Nicosia. In this role, you will be responsible for the pricing of civil materials and subcontract works for various projects, including industrial facilities, buildings, airports, oil & gas developments, and infrastructure projects. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Civil Engineering, who possess approximately 3+ years of experience in the construction and engineering industry. You will need to be proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, with any knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Candy software considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for pricing of civil materials and subcontract works for various projects, including industrial facilities, buildings, airports, oil & gas developments, and infrastructure projects.
  • Study tender documents, review requirements, and seek necessary clarifications.
  • Prepare and issue inquiries/RFQs to relevant subcontractors and suppliers (local and international); respond to queries, coordinate techno-commercial clarifications required for client submissions, and obtain quotations and technical information.
  • Prepare comparison/adjudication statements and ensure that all quotations comply with tender requirements.
  • Evaluate vendors’ techno-commercial proposals and coordinate with the estimator to recommend and finalize costs/rates.
  • Generate client-requested technical information and prepare bid submission documents in accordance with tender requirements.
  • Arrange periodic coordination meetings with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • BSc in Civil Engineering.
  • An MSc in Project Management is an asset.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in other software like AutoCAD and Candy estimation software is a plus.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective team player.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly motivated and willing to work in a multicultural and multinational environment.
