Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will play a key role ensuring the financial health and strategic financial direction of the Company. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who are full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA). You will need to possess proven experience as a CFO, gained working in the field of Investments, Financial Services and/or Banking, and have a demonstrable track record of leading and mentoring a team. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of financial tasks within the Organisation.
  • In charge of the treasury function (execution of payments, funding of trades, placement of deposits).
  • In charge of the financial reporting, statutory reporting, consolidated financial statements, cash-flow, management reports, financial presentations to the Board and other ad-hoc reports.
  • Analyse financial discrepancies and budgetary variances and recommend effective resolutions.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Responsible for the organisation and coordination of the external audit process and associated liaison with auditors and legal counsels.
  • Lead, manage, guide and train on a daily basis the accounting team to complete its tasks effectively within the specified deadlines.
  • Stay abreast with the IFRS, other applicable accounting standards, current developments and business trends, utilising resources effectively.
  • Responsible for the tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes) with current laws and regulations across Group Companies, and being the major point of contact of Tax advisors.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • BSc Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field.
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified.
  • Master’s degree in Business or Finance will be considered an advantage.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience is essential.
  • Previous experience as a CFO is essential.
  • Prior experience working in the field of Investments, Financial Services and/or Banking is essential.
  • Experience in collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Business Intelligence and Consolidation systems.
  • SAP system experience will be considered an advantage.
